It is with a sad heart and deep regret that I have made the decision to temporarily suspend the operation of the Ernie Irvan Fan Club.  Due to a series of circumstances beyond my control, I feel that I am not able to provide you with the services you deserve as a valued member of the Ernie Irvan Fan Club.  We are currently in the process of preparing checks to reimburse each of you for the 2001 membership dues that have been submitted, and you should receive the refunds within the next three weeks.  

  I am saddened because I will not be able to continue to give something back to you after all the many years you supported me through so many triumphs and tragedies.  I am continuing to explore the options of owning my own race team with the additional hope of being able to again provide you with a viable fan club.  In the meantime, my website, www.Irvan.com, will continue to be updated with new information concerning our progress toward a team, upcoming appearances, and available merchandise, including the Action Performance Historical Die Cast Series.   As a valued member of the Ernie Irvan Fan Club, you will be sent a special code to access the Fan Club section of the website.  Also, you will receive the 2001 Fan Club membership card that we were going to use. 

  Words cannot express what my fans have meant to me through all these years. Your cards, calls, gifts and prayers will always be treasured.  God has blessed me with so much, and I count my fans among my most treasured blessings.  I do not wish to say goodbye, but only to wish you well until we can be members again together.
